Listrar registry
Privacy notice
Last updated: 14 August 2026
This notice explains, in plain language, how Listrar processes personal data collected on this site. It covers the launch waitlist only; the Listrar product carries its own privacy documentation.
Regulatory status
Listrar is an independent product-compliance data registry. It is not an EU institution, notified body, certification body or market-surveillance authority.
What we collect
When you join the register we store your email address, your company name, an optional brand name, your language preference, and the time you gave consent. Our infrastructure also processes IP addresses transiently for rate limiting; they are not stored with your registration.
Why we collect it
One purpose only: to contact you about the Listrar launch and your demo invitation. No newsletter, no resale, no profiling.
Legal basis
Processing rests on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you tick the consent box. You can withdraw it at any time.
Where your data lives
Waitlist data is stored and processed in the European Union.
Product passports: why closing an account does not delete them
If you become a customer, product records behave differently from the data on this page, because EU law sets the period rather than we do. A digital product passport must stay available for 10 years after the product is placed on the market, including if the operator ceases activity (Reg. (EU) 2025/2509 Art. 19(2)(g); Reg. (EU) 2026/405 Art. 21(2)(g)). So closing an account archives published passports instead of erasing them: they stay resolvable and are marked historical, and are deleted only once those 10 years have elapsed, counted from the date you declared the product was placed on the market. Records you never published carry no such duty and are deleted with the account.
How long we keep it
We keep your registration until Listrar launches and you have been contacted, or until you withdraw consent — whichever comes first. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your rights
You can access, rectify, export, and erase your data, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Write to privacy@listrar.com and we will respond within one month.
